It was gifts such as amusing babygrows which I specifically remember and which I still have that stick in my mind as my little one's first gift. I knew that, that person had put a lot of thought into getting a babygrow with a funny slogan on it to show some originality with their present. Now, I always get presents which are personal as I think its a great way to show some originality. To further personalise the gift, I simply arrange for the child's name to be put on a bib or t-shirt . There can be so many options when buying such a gift but the outcome will be amazing. It will the one gift that has people laughing or asking where you got it from.
Finally, and from experience I have always found that the plastic backed bibs do not absorb fluids and simply soak through to the clothing underneath. I have always found that cotton bibs are far more efficient. I also recommend the velcro fastened bibs, as they are much easier on the baby's neck. The tie up bibs can pose a choking hazard as they can sometimes tie in a knot which is difficult to undo. This should be the primary concern of any parent when choosing bibs for your baby.
