Thousands of students are graduating this May and June and are either headed off to college or in to the real world of working at their first job. Many graduates host graduation parties and it is a nice touch to bring a great gift to that party. A great idea is to pick a theme and make a basket for the graduate. You can purchase a large plastic bin and include everything the new student to college would need to do their own laundry in college. It could have the detergent, a container full of quarters, laundry bag, a fold-able drying rack all in the new school colors for an added personalized touch.
No one enjoys celebrating anything more than a new baby's arrival. Most expectant parents now register for the things they need or want on a gift registry at a baby store. This would be a good idea to take the list of everything they need and try to also come up with a great theme for the baby to put all together in a basket. Many times it is the small items on the registry that do not get purchased because people do not think of pairing them with other items. One fun theme would be bedtime where you can purchase a sleep set, sheets and blankets for the crib and a bedtime book to read to your baby at bedtime.
A little planning and preparation can go a long way and doe not have to cost that much to make a great impact. Many couples wish to get married in the summer when the weather is nice, people have more vacation time to travel to it and the ceremony can also be outside as well.
The term June bride has come about from the large number of women choosing the month of June to get married. This is also an example of the couple typically has a gift registry of desired items on it as well to start their new life together. A fun theme for a basket for the engaged couple could be based on cooking a specific thing. You can put together a special baking basket that includes not only the baking pans and utensils from their registry but also some food ingredients to actually make that cake or pie, along with a dessert cookbook.
